Know a rental owner who'd benefit?

Every introduction helps another event or equipment rental owner grow, scale, and build a business that doesn't need them every day. Here's how referring someone works.

Three simple steps

  1. 1

    Think of someone

An event or equipment rental owner who's stuck, growing fast, or ready for what's next.

  2. 2

    Connect us

    Whatever's easiest for you:

    • Send one email or text introducing us to each other
    • Give them my information and ask them to mention your name
    • Fill out the short form below, and I'll let them know you sent me
  3. 3

    Hear how it went

I'll let you know once we've connected. And if they decide to work with me, I'll make sure you know how much I appreciate it.

Who usually sends referrals

Anyone who works around rental owners. If you hear them talk about their business, you're in a good spot to make an introduction.

  • Current and past clients
  • Rental owners and association peers
  • Rental software reps
  • Equipment and inventory suppliers
  • Insurance agents
  • Lenders and accountants
  • Event planners and venues
  • Caterers, DJs, and other event vendors

Who's a great fit

Owners of event or equipment rental companies who:

  • Can't or won't take time off
  • Lack a strategic plan and don't know where to start
  • Feel cash is tight no matter what they change
  • Struggle to hire, keep, or develop good people
  • Are ready to grow, add a location, or plan their exit
  • Feel like the business is chaotic and lacks a structured operating system

Results from my time running rental operations:

$240Kcut from first-year operating costs
75%fewer customer issues through training and SOPs
70%lower fleet maintenance and accident costs in year one

What happens after you refer

Your name is on the line, so here's exactly how I handle every introduction.

  1. I reach out within two business days

A friendly call or email that mentions you sent me.

  2. We see if coaching is the right next step

No hard pitch. Just an honest look at whether it's the right fit.

  3. I follow up with you

I'll thank you for the introduction, and if we decide to work together, I'll send your thank-you certificate.

Make the introduction

Check with them first so they know I'll be reaching out. Every introduction starts with a conversation to see if it's a good fit, with no pressure on anyone.

About you

So I know who to thank.

Who you're referring

Include their name, company, phone, and email, plus anything that'll help me reach out well: how you know them, what they're working through, and the best way or time to reach them.

Referral details are never shared or added to a mailing list.

Thank you for the introduction

I'll reach out to them within two business days and let you know once we've connected.

$500

A thank-you from me

Every referral is someone trusting me with a relationship that matters to them, and I don't take that lightly. When someone you introduce decides to work with me, I'll send you a $500 thank-you certificate once their first payment comes in.

Use it however feels right: apply it as credit toward your own coaching, exchange it for cash, pass it to the person you referred, split it with them, or donate it to a charity you care about. There's no limit, because every introduction means just as much as the first.

Referral questions

What if they don't become a client?

No harm done at all. They still get a free conversation about their business, and you still helped them.

Can I refer more than one person?

Yes. There's no limit, and I'll send a $500 thank-you for each person who becomes a coaching client.

Will they know I sent them?

Yes, I'll mention you when I reach out. I only contact referrals you've confirmed want to hear from me.

When will I get the thank-you?

Shortly after their first coaching payment, I'll send you a $500 thank-you certificate. It's good for one year and can be used as coaching credit, exchanged for cash, passed on to the person you referred, or donated to a charity.

I'm referring on behalf of my company. Who gets the thank-you?

The certificate can go to the company or to the employee who made the referral, depending on your company's policy. Check with your manager or business owner to confirm.

What if I'm not allowed to accept a thank-you gift?

Some employers and industries don't allow it. In that case, you can pass it on to the person you referred or donate it to a charity.

Questions about referring someone?

Reach out directly. I'm happy to talk it through.
